Our wines
Colares (Sintra, Portugal) is one of the oldest demarcated regions in the country (1908), the westernmost on the European continent and the smallest still wine producing region in Portugal.
DOC Colares
Arenae Ramisco
Tasting notes
When young, it has a ruby color and very aggressive tannins, characteristics that fade as it ages. Very characteristic nose of the grape variety, with sour cherries and a hint of cedar resin. In the mouth it has an Atlantic and balsamic character. Dry and austere texture with a marked mineral acidity.
Grape Varieties and Soils
Ramisco A noble grape variety native to the region, planted in the characteristic sandy, phylloxera-free soils, less than 1 km from the Atlantic coast and at an average altitude of 110 m above sea level.
Consumption Suggestions
It goes very well with roasts of meat, game and mushrooms. It benefits from prior opening of the bottle and/or decanting and should be served at a temperature of 18º-19ºC.
DOC Colares
Arenae Malvasia White
Tasting notes
Medium intensity yellow color. Notes of citrus and cooked apple. Herbal sensation (aniseed and honey). Medium-bodied, bittersweet, very fresh and pleasant. With ageing, the wine loses a little of its initial fresh style, retaining the elements that make it unique. The aromas become more distinct with the appearance of toasted notes of dried fruit, iodine, wax and hay.
Grape Varieties and Soils
Malvasia de Colares A noble grape variety native to the region, planted in the characteristic sandy soils, free from phylloxera, less than 1 km from the Atlantic coast and at an average altitude of 110 m above sea level.

Very versatile, even as an appetizer. It marries the exotic flavors of Thai and Indian cuisine, seafood, grilled fish and sophisticated salads. As it ages, it takes on a new patina and goes well with more sophisticated and spicy fish dishes. Delicious with oysters! Serve chilled (10ºC-12ºC).
